Temporary alternative Library entrance operating on Sunday 5th February
The ventilation system for the parts of the Library not directly fed by the new air conditioning system is being upgraded. As part of this work, the old condenser units will be removed by crane. For this to happen safely, it is necessary to close the main Library entrance between 7am and 12pm this coming Sunday, 5th February 2017. This work was originally expected to take place last weekend but has been delayed.
During this time, a temporary entrance to the Library will be opened from Ravelin Park, around the far side of the building from the main entrance. Security will be present at this door. Please be ready to show them your staff, student or external reader card when you enter.
The Library will be open 24/7 as usual, services will operate normally, and no other part of the building is expected to be affected.
The crane will affect traffic flow in Cambridge Road and Burnaby Road early on Sunday morning. If travelling by car, you may wish to avoid this area.
