Mindfulness and examination
Feeling stressed? Anxious thoughts make the body tense, which in turn makes the mind more anxious. The best way to overcome anxiety, from feeling overwhelmed and post-procrastination panic to examination nerves is to interrupt this vicious circle by taking a moment to calm both mind and body at the same time.
Remember you can always pause, notice you are tense and worried, relax your shoulders down and unclench your face and jaw, take a few breaths and blow them out a little more slowly and deeply than before then carry on, just a little bit slower. Dedicating time to relaxation can also be helpful. There is no right way to relax but if you find meditation or breathing exercises helpful to calm you down and chill you out, here are a series of guided breathing podcasts.
