A printer for all the people

You can now print in the Library without booking a study space!

Send documents to print from your phone, tablet or laptop by logging onto the University print management system, Papercut, and choosing “Web Print”. Once sent to the print queue, you can scan your student card to release them from the black and white printer beside the Click & Collect point, just to the right of the Library entrance area.

You need to have enough print credit on your account to pay for all your printing or none of it will print. You can check your current printing balance and top up your account, if necessary, on the Papercut website. Please be aware that no refunds are possible if you leave or graduate with money left in your printing account: topping up little and often is usually the safest approach.

Printing is held in a virtual print queue for up to 24 hours or until you release it by printing the queued document(s). Scanning your student card over the black and white fob on top of the printer will release everything waiting in your print queue. If you have sent documents to print that you no longer want, you should log in once again to the Papercut website, select “Jobs pending release” and cancel those you do not want printed. Scanning your student card over the black and white fob on the printer will then cause everything left in your print queue to print immediately.
