Books to return?

If you have been holding onto any books since before lockdown and wondering when it will be safe to return them, that time is now! We have set up a returns system outside the library entry turnstiles. Just pop in, drop your books off, and we will return them for you. If the trolley is full, just let the reception team know and we will wheel out another trolley for you to use.

We cannot pay for books to be returned by post as we had originally hoped but if you are in the local area, and so if you are further afield now and have no plans to revisit Portsmouth in the foreseeable future, there is not a lot we can ask you to do. We would just like to reassure you that in these exceptional times, there will be no fines, no hassle, and no need to worry.

Just pop on a face mask and drop off your books. No need to come into the library!
