Knovel login requires VPN or Web Proxy away from the University campus (resolved)

Update 06.09.17 – It is once again possible to log into and register with Knovel from anywhere without the need to use the VPN or Web Proxy.

Knovel requires clients register after logging into the resource other than through the University network.  It has been reported that Knovel is not recognising the student email domain (@myport.ac.uk).

Workaround

You can still use Knovel when working anywhere away from the University campus by setting up the VPN (or where necessary the Web Proxy).  Click here for step-by-step setup instructions.  If you would like to be guided through the procedure, please get in touch at any time 24/7.
