Erroneous renewal notification emails (resolved)
Update 09.02.17 – This problem has now been resolved. Everyone registered with the Library should receive an email shortly confirming this and that the overdue notices advising of overdue books sent early this morning can be safely ignored. Our library system supplier and we would like to apologise for any anxiety and inconvenience this has caused.
A problem with the library management system last night has caused a batch of renewal notifications to be sent out, apparently all for items that were due months ago on 30 September 2016. It is quite safe to ignore these emails. We apologise for any anxiety and inconvenience this has caused. We are currently investigating this incident with our system supplier to understand what happened and ensure it is not repeated.
