Students have been asking us for a space where they can take a nap to break up their studies and recharge. Studies reportedly suggest that this might actually be good for you, with a 10-20 minute nap in the afternoon helping you think faster and better. In fact we already have a little known relaxation nap zone next door in 3rd Space on the first floor of the Student Union building. Deck chairs at one end of the space are ideal for getting a brief power nap without being so comfortable as to promote oversleeping and spoil your productivity!
Timing your siesta
Why not try snooze app or similar for a gentle wake-up call for one to ensure you do not oversleep and wake up feeling groggy? Plug in a pair of earphones and wake up to your favourite song after a set amount of time, available from a variety of apps, including free apps for both iOS and Android.
