Problems with new University cards (resolved)

Update 15/10/15 – The problem with new borrower cards has now been resolved.  Thank you for your patience.

Staff on the Library reception desk have noted that a number of newly issued student cards are not being updated by our daily overnight import of records from the student records system into the library management system and the library turnstile system.

If you have an affected card, staff on the Library Reception Desk have to manually update your library account to enable you to enter through the turnstiles and borrow items from the library.  For a number of students, the manual update is overwritten each night with incorrect information imported from an automatic update.  This is believe to affect only those with new student cards issued since 1st October 2015.

We apologise if your card details are not being automatically updated.  We are working with Information Services to resolve this problem as soon as possible.  Thank you for your patience.
