Shopping for one? Go frozen!

frozen veg photoThe euphoria of being away from your parents may start to pall when you first realise you have to start cooking for yourself, and on a budget.   Remember that fresh fruit and vegetables in a supermarket are among the most expensive – greengrocers are cheaper (there is one on Marmion Road and another along the Albert Road) but frozen veg is cheaper still.

Frozen food is nutritious as the day it was picked, and even more importantly it stays fresh for months rather than days.  No-one wants to carry something furry and indescribable to the bin.  Buy some frozen veg and you always have something you can use without the preparation or the waste!
