Pablo in P&M – We must have more (books)!

Copy-of-ILL-ordersMore books!  Our students demand it.  So do their lecturers for that matter.

All the orders from academics and the Faculty Librarians are fed into a big computer in P&M that talks to another computer owned by a big book supplier “across the pond” and that is what makes the right books arrive.  Apparently “the pond” is quite large and has tasty fish in it, but I am reliably informed that all the exciting things happen on either side.  A little light checking of anomalies and all the books are ordered.  Spending money has never been easier.  “Now, how many copies of The Spotters Guide to Sea & Freshwater Fish does the Library need…”
