Building work next weekend (25-26 October)

Digging into concreteA small amount of building work taking place on the ground floor on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October.  There is expected to be some building noise and some areas of the ground floor will be closed off for your safety.

A section of flooring will be dug up, pipes replaced, and then relaid.  As a result, some nearby stock may be unavailable for at least one week afterwards until the new floor sets hard.  You may want to borrow any books with shelfmarks starting 005-006 that you expect to need during the next week before the weekend just in case they become inaccessible.  If you want access to any books that are temporarily unreachable next week, please ask a member of  Library staff and we will fetch and reserve them for you as soon as we can get to them.

We will also be fitting more lighting above the printing zone.  While many of the printers will be moved into the staff office over the weekend so the builders have enough room to work safely, some printers will be available for you to use throughout.
