There are many things that can cause IT performance issues and the reasons for your computer running slowly may not always be obvious to the untrained eye. If you have any IT problems, please contact Information Services (IS), who will be able to help you resolve your problem.
Information Services (IS) support computing can help with everything from a seemingly slow network connection to difficulty logging into Moodle, wherever you are experiencing difficulties – on campus or at home. Library staff can usually help only with technical problems related to electronic Library resources, printers and photocopiers. If in doubt, please contact the IS Service Desk first if you suffer computer or network problems, even if you experience them in the Library.
You can call the IS Service Desk 24/7 from any internal phone on Ext. 7777 or from your mobile phone on 023 9284 7777. There is also a free telephone near the ground floor Library printers for you to use.
It is important to report IT problems to IS because this helps them spot general or widespread problems and resolve them quickly, and if there are several pervasive IT problems, IS will work through them systematically, starting with the one that has been reported the most times.
