Get up to speed with online reading lists

Looking forward to explaining to Creative Technologies staff why online reading lists are important for their students.  This takes place on Wednesday 12 March at 13.00 in Eldon 0.20.  I’m sure any member of staff in CCi would find it useful, so drop by if you want to find out more.

The first thing to clarify is that these aren’t just lists of books, they can include links to resources such as Discovery and Digital Tutors or even videos and websites  – whatever students need to support their research.  We’ll be looking at the Dashboard feature and how it can show what students are selecting to read or watch and how staff can annotate their lists to encourage them to select useful things.  I’m sure staff will also be interested in our latest development which enables them to request the digitisation of chapters and journal articles – especially as the library takes care of the copyright side of things!
