Veggiedag

Fancy trying out being a vegetarian for a day? Unsure about whether you want to commit to a non-meat diet? Wondering if you’ll miss the more carnivorous side of eating? Well the City of Ghent, in Belgium, have recently started having a weekly veggiedag, or Veggie Day. Councillors and Civil Servants give up meat and eat a vegetarian diet for a day. The purpose of this is to highlight the effect of livestock on the environment and help reduce greenhouse gasses.
